The Parent Intensive inParenting by Connectionbuilds your understanding and skills for parenting.  This ten-week program both supports your practice ofParenting by Connectionand guides you to explore the issues in your relationships that get in the way of the close and relaxed family atmosphere we all hope for.

Both parents and caregivers familiar withParenting by Connectionare welcome. All participants will spend several hours practicing Listening Tools with the children in their lives each week. Participants will use a Listening Partnership to reduce parental stress, and will do at least an hour of Special Time with their child or children each week.

Your most vivid and useful learning experiences will take place as you practice the Listening Tools of Parenting by Connectionwith your family and hear the experiences of other parents who do the same.

The class meetings are scheduled on March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, April 5, 12, 19, 26 and May 3.

Not in Oakland? Distance learnerswill learn from 2-hour video of the local East Bay class at their leisure, uploaded a day or two after the session so you don’t need to be available at the time and day of the course (high-speed internet connection required), and will participate fully via 90-minute conference calls every week, for both mentoring and support, that will be set around your schedule.
