Adolescent Counseling Services to begin offering services at Siena Youth Center
ACS will partner with SYC to provide after-school counseling to youth of the Fair Oaks community in Redwood City
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Adolescent Counseling Services (ACS), a community-based nonprofit agency dedicated to the healthy social and emotional welfare of local youth, will begin offering counseling services at the Siena Youth Center, which strives to provide a healthy, active, and happy place for the youth of the Fair Oaks community in Redwood City, starting in August, 2018.
As part of ACS’ On-Campus Counseling Program, ACS will offer comprehensive mental health support in the form of individual, one-on-one counseling and family therapy both in the classrooms and during after-school hours. ACS is proud and honored to partner with the Siena Youth Center to continue to serve diverse communities on the Peninsula.
Founded in 2012, the Siena Youth Center (SYC) is a non-profit program of the St. Francis Center that offers structured after-school and summer programs to youths and families. The center is dedicated to helping local families live in dignity and become self-supporting members of the community through mentorship and guidance.
“Providing services at the SYC directly aligns with ACS’ mission of providing professional, comprehensive, long-term support to communities that have historically been underserved,” said ACS Executive Director Philippe Rey. “It has always been our goal to make our communities healthier and safer, where all youth and their families have access to the quality counseling and support services that they need and deserve.”
