Development
and Communications Intern
Function: Support the agency in achieving annual development
and marketing goals.
Reports To: Development Director
Schedule: 10-20 hours per week, Volunteer Position
Position Summary
Adolescent Counseling Services seeks an enthusiastic
Development Intern who will provide part-time support
for our fundraising and marketing efforts. This energetic
self-starter will assist with an aggressive annual campaign,
special events, and corporate, government and foundation
grants. This person will work closely with the Development
Director on all development-related activities and will
be responsible for maintaining accurate records on our
fundraising database. Qualifications include excellent
writing, communication, and computer skills, and demonstrated
experience in project management. This position is ideal
for a highly-motivated individual who is interested
in gaining experience in fundraising, marketing and/or
non-profit leadership.
Duties and Responsibilites
- Manage donor database, including data entry, updating,
cleaning and utilization of database;
- Execute monthly reconciliation between development
and finance department;
- Assist in direct mail appeals and donor communication;
- Provide support to fundraising volunteers and committees,
including the Board of Directors, Fund Development
Committee and its subcommittees (Planned Giving, Spring
Sounds, Annual Campaign and Stewardship);
- Coordinate and provide support for ACS events,
including our Donor Luncheon, Spring Sounds, cultivation
events, etc.;
- Coordinate compilation of program statistics and
outcomes for three programs;
- Assist with the writing of fundraising materials,
including grant reports and proposals, appeal letters
and donor communications;
- Provide administrative support to the Development
Department;
- Other duties as assigned

Volunteer Receptionist
Function: Answers phones and provides front desk reception.
Reports To: Administrative Assistant
Schedule: 4 hours per week, Volunteer Position, Shifts
are 9-1pm or 1-5pm
Position Summary
Adolescent Counseling Services seeks friendly volunteers
to receive our guests and answer phones in our administrative
offices. These individuals will provide administrative
support on various projects as they arise. Qualifications
include excellent phone demeanor and friendly personality.
Writing and computer skills a plus. Ability to speak
Spanish is also a plus, but not required. This position
is ideal for an individual looking for a friendly place
to volunteer on a regular basis.
