Personal information that users provide through optional, voluntary submissions, such as email and online registration forms to ACS. Personal information means any information that may be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to, your name, home address, telephone number, e-mail address, and credit card information. The types and amount of personal information collected for these activities will vary depending on the activity.

Non-personal Information

Cookies

We may place a text file called a “cookie” in the browser files of your computer. The cookie itself does not contain personal information although it will enable us to relate your use of this site to information that you have specifically and knowingly provided. But the only personal information a cookie can contain is information you supply yourself. A cookie can't read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites. ACS may use cookies to track user traffic patterns (as described above). In addition, ACS uses encrypted cookies to authenticate the user on each page after the user logs onto the website. You can refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser. If you've set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies, you will receive the warning message with each cookie. You do not need to have cookies turned on to use this site.

We use the personal information you have provided us to communicate with you regarding the query you have sent. ACS will only use the contact information you supply to provide you with the information you requested. The personal information collected also allows us to facilitate and track online donations to ACS.
We do aggregate information about how our website is used (without specific identification to any particular user) to be able to improve our website and make it more responsive to our users’ preferences.

Consistent with the federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), we will never knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without requiring parental consent. Children under 13 should not send any information about themselves to us - including information like their name, address or e-mail address. In the event that we learn that we have collected any personal information from a child under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information from our database as quickly as possible.

Users have access to their personal information and you may update the information you provide.
